I would first start by searching via the internet local boxing gyms http://www.boxinggyms.com/ is good site to begin with. Next I would start physically conditioning your body to try and get shape. If you are able to find a local gym even if it is only once a week go and practice what you are taught over the week you area way.
You may also check at your local YMCA they will usually have an instructor there.
