Boxing conditioning

Hello:) does anyone know any advanced boxing conditioning workouts? Using only bodyweight, also should i be working my abs seperately to this or include it in a workout programme whilst excercising other muscles e.g. Push ups, pull ups,sit ups? Any advanced boxing bodyweight conditioning workouts would be appreciated:) thank you

Boxing is a sport where you have spurts of massive energy output followed by sessions of low energy output. You must train your body to explode with massive energy output then train to come back down. Most fights happen in spurts of energy output, so it helps to train your body in a manner that allows your nervous system to fire on all cylinders at any moment. You can do this with any part of your conditioning workout. Your early morning run should contain sprints and easy jog put together on constantly changing time schedule. Example: sprint for thirty seconds, jog for ten seconds, sprint for ten seconds, jog for twenty seconds, sprint for twenty seconds, jog for ten seconds continue alternating for 3-5 miles. You will be surprise at how easy it is to pick up the pace in a fight without losing your cardio. You can use this method in shadow boxing, bag work, rope work, push-ups, situps, etc.
You can use this method with many bodyweight exercises. It doesn't do you much good to throw a flurry of good punches if it drains your body of all your energy and leaves you sucking air. Good luck on your training. Remember to get your coaches ok before changing any of your training routines. Show your coach the respect he deserves. Coach Thorpe
