New to boxing

I have not started boxining yet and will be starting pretty soon. I can train a lot but how much is it going to cost? I wanna train hard and I'm only 16 close to 17. I'm in select soccer and am very athletic in and out of school. Kind of nervous to try boxing and a little worried but excited thanks for this site. It really helped!

Hello,

Thanks for writing, Boxing is a little nerve racking at times but it is a great discipline sport. Plus at the amateur level it is pretty safe. Typically you will have cup,mouth guard, rib guard, head gear with vasoline on your face to prevent cuts or damage.
Being athletic will be a huge advantage for you starting. Boxing requires great cardio and the ability to change pace at any moment which I am sure you have from soccer. Technique will take a while to learn but I would highly recommend it.
