Welcome to How To Grapple

Welcome to the "how to grapple" sections of Boxing-For-Life. In MMA a diverse fighter is usually a successful fighter.

Limiting your MMA skills to simply striking will not be enough. While boxing and striking is a great start in the world of MMA you must have a ground game. Especially in todays fight world with the great number of fights that go to the ground. This can be caused by the rise of super stars like GSP and his infamous BJJ skills. More and more fighters tend to be taking the fights to the ground.

The most important thing with any new sport or art is learning the basics. Below is instructional video demonstrating guard, breaking guard and finally side guard. These are very important to know for defense and offense when the fight goes to the ground.
